About DABC
The Diamondback Athletic Booster Club (DABC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting all Sharyland Pioneer High School athletic programs.
The 2023/2024 academic year will mark the TENTH year of Sharyland Pioneer High School. Diamondback athletes compete at the Class 5A level and expectations for all sports programs are high.
There are tremendous costs associated with running a competitive high school program. It is important to the DABC, as parents and community members that our student-athletes are provided with the very best experience possible. We support excellence in student athletics, with emphasis on student & community participation, sportsmanship, spirit, and funding.
The DABC will work diligently to carry on the traditions of excellence associated with the Sharyland Independent School District. Funds raised both provide scholarships for graduating seniors participating in athletic programs and supplement the athletic budget. These contributions will enhance the athletic experience of all students.
DABC supports all sports programs at SPHS: Swimming/Diving, water Polo, Girls & Boys Soccer, Powerlifting, Baseball, Softball, Girls & Boys Basketball, Girls & Boys Track/Cross Country, Golf, Tennis, Wrestling, Volleyball, Football and Cheer.

During the 2018/2019 school year, DABC raised funds through selling merchandise, selling concessions at varsity games, holding an All Expense Paid Disney World Trip for 4 raffle in fall, via the 5th All Sport Varsity Athletic Banquet where attendees purchased mystery boxes. DABC efforts translated to scholarships for 15 SPHS Senior Athletes and $11,100 towards SPHS sports programs. DABC invested $23,000 in to the sports initiatives, teams and athletes at PHS for 2018/2019.

DABC efforts translated to scholarships for 27 SPHS Senior Athletes and $9,200 towards SPHS sports programs. DABC invested $34,700 in to the sports initiatives, teams and athletes at PHS for 2016/2017.

DABC efforts translated to scholarships for 24 SPHS Senior Athletes and $16,000 towards SPHS sports programs. DABC invested $40,035 in to the sports initiatives, teams and athletes at PHS for 2015/2016.

During the 2014/2015 school year, DABC raised funds through selling merchandise, selling concessions at varsity games, holding a car raffle, and via the first SPHS Athletic Banquet where attendees purchased auction items. DABC efforts translated to scholarships for 16 SPHS Senior Athletes and $15,000 towards SPHS sports programs. In addition, DABC donated custom murals, a sound system and a retractable American Flag for PHS facilities. DABC invested $35,960 in to the sports initiatives, teams and athletes at SPHS for 2014/2015.
