Why be a DABC Member?

DABC Members…

  • Help fund student-athlete scholarships and the unmet need of SPHS sports programs
  • Encourage community support for all athletic programs at SPHS
  • Have a voice in important matters that affect every student in SPHS athletic programs
  • Ensure that their child is eligible for a DABC Scholarship their senior year*
  • Encourage volunteerism and unity amongst parents

Membership is $25.00 per year, per family. Membership includes 1 Free DABC Member shirt to wear when volunteering and when representing DABC at events.

  Student’s family must be an active member of the Diamondback Athletic Booster Club for a minimum of 1 year, to include student’s senior year for student to be eligible for the DABC scholarship. 

  Student’s parents/family must volunteer for a minimum of ten (10) hours and attend a minimum of five (5) DABC meetings annually in order to be considered active members. (Volunteering with your child’s sport or hosting team dinners does not count towards DABC criteria).

THINGS TO REMEMBER

  • The DABC scholarships are offered to seniors who apply by the deadline and meet all criteria, the amount of funds offered will be based on number of years their family are active members.
  • The DABC scholarship amount offered to seniors who apply by the deadline and meet all criteria will be based on number of years their family are active DABC members. 
  • DABC members can start accruing volunteer hours and attending meetings through the summer months prior to the school year until the Athletic Banquet in the Spring. 
  • DABC members must complete half of their hours in fall and half in spring. We will not allow parents to wait until May to start & finish hours. 

We will open volunteer opportunities for the Fall in mid-July.

Volunteer Opportunities include, but are not limited to: 

    • Concessions at Volleyball and Basketball Home Games
    • Cooking for Taco Hut at Varsity Football Home Games (before game, starting at 4:30pm)
    • Working at Taco Hut at Varsity Football Home Games
    • Selling Merchandise
    • Event booth
    • Set up for athletic banquet
    • Work during athletic banquet
    • Help get decorations ready for banquet
    • Sell additional raffle ticket books for annual fundraiser (1 book = 2 hours)
